Let's get kids cooking! Taste Cork and Ballymaloe Cookery School have teamed up to run the competition, 'My Favourite Local Producer'. The TWO lucky competition winners will take part in the Ballymaloe Cookery School ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ 1 Day Course, 8th August 2016.

The Start Your Own Food Business programme is now open for bookings. This short course has been designed for those with a food manufacturing/processing idea or those at a very early stage of set up.

Attendees of the Taste Cork breakfast seminar ‘Changing Food Trends’, which was held in Electric on Wednesday morning, March 9th, were told that catering to the evolving attitudes, tastes and diets of consumers is crucial to continued business growth.

The deadline for Artisan Food Innovation Voucher applications is 5.30pm, 21st April 2016.

The Food Academy Start programme works with and nurtures artisan food producers through their journey to obtaining their first retail listing with SuperValu. 'Food Academy' is currently working with over 200 producers throughout the country. The Online Application Form is now live. Applications must be received by 4pm, Monday 14th March 2016.

Taste Cork are excitedly counting down the days to the opening of the Cork Incubator Kitchens (CIK), an initiative of the Cork County Council. This initiative highlights fantastic development for Cork's food sector in supporting the growth and success of local food businesses.

Cork-based sauce company Rebel Chilli is to begin exporting to Dubai from February this year. Having re-branded the range in 2015, the company has made the huge leap from Farmer's Market to retail.

Ten Cork Food Companies Generated over 300 Sales Leads Working Together Under the ‘Taste Cork’ Brand at the UK’s largest Food Trade Fair IFE 2015

Ten Cork food companies are due to exhibit under the Taste Cork brand at the IFE Food and Drink Exhibition in London in March 2015.

The four-day event is the UK's largest International Food Show with over 1350 exhibitors from all over the world.

The ten food companies traveling from Cork have been taking part in the UK Food Export Programme which is jointly funded by the Cork Local Enterprise Offices, Cork City Council and Cork County Council.

Companies participating include iASC, De Roiste Meats, The Just Food Co., The Natural Larder Company, The Farmer's Table, Mella's Fudge, Cookies of Character, The Cultured Food Company, Ballyhoura Apple Farm and Cotton Ball Brewing Co.

A number of new food incubator units are available for immediate let through Cork County Council's Economic Development Section. Located in Bandon and Ballincollig, these units are fully compliant with EHO standards. With extremely competitive rates, these units offer an excellent opportunity for Cork Food Producers.
