Just Food started life in 2002 when Deirdre Hilliard started selling her own healthy homemade soups at a stall at the Midleton Farmers Market. Now, from a commercial kitchen in Cobh, County Cork, Just Food produces a diverse range of handmade fresh organic wholefood soups and salads with organic ingredients which are sourced as locally as possible.
The company follows the ethos that cooking food in smaller batches is better for food quality meaning improved taste, nutritional and food safety benefits. Just Food products are now available nationwide in all of the major retailers and independent stores, and the products are also now exported to Belgium since 2013. The company sells 12 varieties of soups including the revolutionary new HiLo high protein low Fat range and also salad and vegetable meal options. Just Food has won huge market recognition having won 12 National Irish food awards; a UK Great Taste award 2013 as well as the Super Valu inaugural local producer of year and most interesting new product in the Mintel European executive summary.
